Christmas Morning

My family always had a tradition of our dad taking a picture of our family waiting in the hallway to run out to see what Santa brought. This is a tradition that I want to do with our family; this is the first year we have done this. All of the other pictures turned out too dark, but this one turned out ok. Can't you just see the excitement on our faces!

My boys opening their presents. Tyler opened his firt one and really had no desire to open any more (though he loves all of his new toys).

PJ's

A tradition that David's family always had (and mine as well, at least in my younger years) was to get Christmas pajamas. They always opened them on Christmas eve; we decided to start this tradition as well. Here are the boys in their matching "Cars" pajamas. Tyler was so excited to get to open a present early, and he loved his new pj's, Tray really didn't care, but he loves having pictures taken of him and his brother holding/playing with him, so he was happy too.

Sledding

We went sledding a few days before Christmas, we couldn't find a sled anywhere so we just went to the park and hoped that someone would be nice and let us use one of theirs. We found a nice family that wasn't using one of theirs and they let us use it. Only problem was that it liked to go down backwards because Tyler was on the front. Ever since this trip Tyler has been asking for a "green sled".

We went to playing in the snow after we used the borrowed sled a few times. Tyler and David worked ever so hard on their snowman.

Tyler and Tray sitting on a bench at the park.

Tyler and I made snow angels, notice that Tyler's is headless, he didn't want to put his head in the snow.

Visitors

I guess that our tree looked so nice and comfortable that we even had some little birds come look and check it out. It probably looked a lot warmer then the other trees around here.

Snow Days

We got a lot of snow, it decorated out old christmas tree which we put outside and cancelled school for Tyler of a whole week. Because of this I got to come up with different craft ideas to keep Tyler busy and happy during the week.

Here are some of the things that we did.

Miracle

Before Christmas Abby and Sopie came over to drop off their gerbils for us to watch. While us adults were talking this little miracle happened. It's not very often that to three year olds will share so nicely and be quiet doing it.

Family Walks

This is my adorable little boy on our walk through our complex, pretty isn't it.

Catching Snowflakes.

Tray and me after David shook one of the trees with us under it (by Tyler's request).

Tyler discovered icicles!

We like to try to take walks as a family whenever we can. Here are a bunch of pictures of one of our snow walks. If you can't tell........ we had a lot of fun! Tyler wanted Davis to shake the snow off of all the trees!

Waiting

Tyler so wanted to go out and play in the snow again. We had to wait until Tray woke up and Daddy got home though.

Watching A Movie

I know I've said it before, but Tray could not have a better big brother. Tyler loves his "baby" so much! Every morning as soon as both of them are up the first thing that he wants to do is hug, carry, and play with Tray. It's so nice to have such a loving boy!

Snow!

This is what Tray got to do after the first few minutes of playing outside........ doesn't he look nice and warm!

This was the first opportunity that we had to get out to play it it. We went to a park just north of where we live; we wanted to play it it before it dissappeared, which it normally does in a few days. But this snow ended up staying around for quite awhile.

This is the first snow of the year! Tyler was so excited that he wanted to go out into it. This is on our porch before it got really thick.

Sitting Up

Tray is really starting to sit up well on his own. This picture was taken a few weeks ago; he is doing so much better on his own now! (Notice that out of all the toys around him he likes to play with at wipes container the most.) He can sit up without support for minutes at a time now (unless his ever helpful brother comes over and "helps" him fall down). When we try to put him into the carseat he trys to resist because he wants to sit up now wherever he is. (
